On October 29, a fire broke out at Jinsheng Department Store in Gulou District, Nanjing, Jiangsu, causing heavy losses and drawing our attention to the importance of safety production.
To improve all employees' learning of fire safety knowledge, care for fire safety work, and enthusiasm for participating in fire safety activities, and to enhance the ability to handle, respond to, and prevent fires, our company actively responded to the call of "National Fire Safety Publicity Day" and held a fire skills competition on the afternoon of November 9.
The competition consisted of four events: fire safety knowledge relay race, blindfolded connection of two fire hoses, two fire hose bag throwing connections, and 50m oil barrel fire extinguishing.
Before the competition started, the safety committee supervisor announced the competition rules, explained the usage scenarios and methods of various fire extinguishers, required everyone to master the key points of use, and hosted and guided the entire competition. At the same time, safety officers were also on site to guide and correct employees' improper or incorrect operations.
In the various events, employees who had never experienced fire accidents actively participated and learned fire safety knowledge. Everyone was eager not to fall behind and strived to be the first. Their series of actions were quick, coherent, and orderly, aiming to complete in the shortest time possible. Many employees achieved excellent results. The company leadership attached great importance to this fire skills competition and prepared certificates of honor and generous prizes for the participants!
This competition was a complete success. Regardless of the final award results, every participating employee learned more fire safety knowledge during this event. Employees expressed that such activities are very valuable, as they allow learning knowledge and participating in competition, mastering basic fire prevention and disaster prevention knowledge during the process. In the future, Da Mao Niu will also actively promote safety production in daily work, raising safety awareness among all employees, not only fire prevention and disaster prevention awareness.
