On May 7, 2026, the Damaoniu Group successfully hosted a major research collaboration and exchange conference, during which several significant strategic partnerships were forged, officially ushering in a new chapter of deep integration among industry, academia, and research and of technological upgrading and innovation. Wu Songjiang, Secretary of the Leizhou Municipal Party Committee, Mai Peide, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the Zhanjiang Science and Technology Association, along with other relevant leaders, attended the event and jointly witnessed this pivotal moment in the innovative upgrade of the new materials industry.
At the conference, Damao Niu Group officially appointed Academician Yu Aibing as its Chief Scientist. Leveraging the academician’s profound research expertise and industry-leading technological strengths, the two parties will focus on the core area of “green physical foaming technology” and engage in comprehensive, in-depth, and close collaboration, harnessing cutting-edge scientific research to provide robust support for the company’s technological innovation.
This conference marked the official launch of two major science-and-tech innovation platforms: the unveiling of the “Damaoniu–Greater Bay Area University Joint Laboratory for Advanced Green Physical Foaming New Materials” and the formal establishment of the “Damaoniu Group Advanced Green Physical Foaming New Materials R&D Center.” The inauguration of these two platforms signifies a pivotal step forward for the Group in the fields of new-materials R&D and the application of green, low-carbon technologies, while also laying the foundation for an innovative development system characterized by “academian-led guidance, university-enterprise collaboration, and independent R&D.”
That afternoon, the team from Damao Niu Group and the academician Yu Aibing’s team held a five-hour closed-door internal symposium. Leading researchers and technical experts from both sides gathered to engage in in-depth discussions on key topics such as iterative advancements in core physical-foaming technologies, the development of specialized projects, joint training of professional talent, and R&D aimed at industrial-scale implementation. During the session, they refined the cooperation plan and clarified the R&D priorities and implementation roadmap.
Looking ahead, Damao Niu Group will take its Academician Workstation, joint laboratories, and R&D centers as core platforms to deepen its expertise in the cutting-edge field of advanced green physical-foaming new materials. Leveraging top-tier research resources, the Group will pursue parallel advancements in technological innovation and green development, accelerate the industrial application of research outcomes, lead industry evolution with robust capabilities, and contribute to the high-quality upgrading of the new materials sector.
