On March 20th, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Damaoniu Guangdong (Zhanjiang) Zero Carbon Factory was grandly held! Leaders including Wu Songjiang, Secretary of the Leizhou Municipal Party Committee; Tang Yuliang, Director of the Zhanjiang Investment Promotion Bureau; Yan Jiawei, Deputy Secretary of the Leizhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; Ou Chaocai, Director of the Standing Committee of the Leizhou People's Congress; He Peilie, Chairman of the Leizhou CPPCC, as well as responsible comrades from the Municipal Party Committee Office, Municipal Government Office, Shentang Town Party Committee, Municipal Propaganda Department, Municipal Finance Bureau, Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, Municipal Development and Reform Bureau, Economic Development Zone Management Committee, Municipal Science and Information Bureau, Municipal Justice Bureau, Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, Municipal Natural Resources Bureau, Municipal Ecological Environment Sub-bureau, Municipal Investment Promotion Center, Municipal Investment Evaluation Center, Municipal Land Reserve Center, Municipal State-owned Assets Company, Municipal Media Center, Leifa Group and other units attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
In his speech, Secretary Wu Songjiang stated that in recent years, Leizhou City has adhered to the principle of focusing on the real economy and manufacturing as the mainstay, firmly grasping the opportunities of the Zhanjiang large-scale industrial cluster area, the main platform for orderly industrial transfer in Zhanjiang, the export processing zone, and the Qiongzhou Strait integrated high-quality development demonstration zone. Seizing the opportunity of the "Four Zones Integration," the city has unswervingly implemented the strategy of "industrializing the city and strengthening the city through industry," deeply promoted the "top leader" project for investment attraction, fully leveraged comparative advantages in resources, location, and ecology, accelerated the construction of park infrastructure, successively landed investment projects, continuously improved the business environment, sustained positive industrial economic growth, enhanced Leizhou's attractiveness and carrying capacity, and steadily accumulated positive factors for high-quality development.
Chairman Bai Peng of Damaoniu stated that the Damaoniu Leizhou Factory will be the first zero-carbon standard factory in the global industry to date. The construction of this production base will not only provide superior production conditions for Damaoniu but also inject new momentum into the local economic development. In addition to the Damaoniu Leizhou production base, we also plan to establish in Leizhou. an "Academician Collaborative Innovation Center" and establish an "Academician Joint Laboratory." Combined with multiple national, local, group, and enterprise standards that Damaoniu is currently drafting and has already issued, we are certain to become a technological benchmark in the industry and play a pioneering and exemplary role in Leizhou's green technology and low-carbon development.
The groundbreaking ceremony of the Damaoniu Leizhou Factory concluded successfully. On this vibrant, hopeful, and passionate land of Leizhou, under the high attention, support, and assistance of the municipal party committee and government leaders for the Damaoniu project, we will accelerate the construction process, achieve production capacity and efficiency as soon as possible, and promote and introduce more upstream and downstream industrial chain enterprises to settle in Leizhou.
