Recently, the 9th "Winning in Nanjing – Jiangning Cup" Youth Science and Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition 2025, jointly hosted by seven departments including the Nanjing Science and Technology Association, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Nanjing Municipal People's Government, the Nanjing Science and Technology Bureau, and the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, saw Damao Niu win first prize with his project titled "Research and Development of High-Performance PVDF Microporous Foam Supercritical Intelligent Manufacturing Technology."
High-performance PVDF microporous foam supercritical intelligent manufacturing technology replaces traditional chemical foaming with a purely physical process, ensuring zero chemical additives, no residual emissions, and complete recyclability throughout the entire production cycle. This technology perfectly meets the aerospace industry's stringent demands for material safety and environmental sustainability. By breaking the long-standing foreign monopoly on aviation-grade PVDF materials, this innovation provides stable compatibility for critical applications such as large aircraft and space stations, firmly establishing a robust material defense line for China’s domestic aerospace endeavors.
The first-place award at this year's "Winning in Nanjing – Jiangning Cup" is not only an authoritative recognition of Damao Niu's technological strength but also a significant milestone in breaking through barriers for domestically produced new materials. Moving forward, Damao Niu will continue to stay focused on the demands of new materials, further refining and iterating its physical foaming technology while expanding into more high-end application scenarios.
