On September 11, the finals of the 2023 Jiangsu Women's Science and Technology Innovation Competition Entrepreneurship Group, jointly hosted by 10 units including the Jiangsu Women's Federation, Provincial Talent Office, Provincial Science and Technology Department, and Provincial Credit Union, were held in Nanjing. Shi Yupei, member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Federation, attended the opening ceremony and announced the opening of this final.
This competition is themed "Wisely Creating Her Era, Striving for a New Journey," aiming to actively build a platform for showcasing women's science and technology innovation projects and achievement transformation, serve high-quality entrepreneurship and employment for women, and promote the deep and practical advancement of women's actions in science and technology innovation. Since the competition started in June, innovative and entrepreneurial women across the province have responded enthusiastically, producing a batch of developing and promising science and technology innovation projects, reflecting the active science and technology innovation "cells" throughout Jiangsu.
After strict selection and evaluation, a total of 42 projects advanced to the provincial challenge competition, among which 20 successfully entered the provincial finals. The finalist projects cover many new industries and new business forms with high technological content and strong innovation, including new generation information technology, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, new materials, and high-end equipment manufacturing.
Ms. Zhang Yuanting, General Manager of Jiangsu Damaoniu New Materials Co., Ltd., stood out through multiple rounds and ultimately won first place in the provincial finals.
The successful hosting of this competition not only showcased the style of female innovation and entrepreneurship in Jiangsu but also provided a platform for female entrepreneurs to display their talents and exchange experiences. Through this competition, we have seen more and more female entrepreneurs emerging in the field of science and technology innovation, making positive contributions to promoting the cause of science and technology innovation in Jiangsu Province and even nationwide.
